Let us introduce ourselves – we are a family of collectors. Each of us has collected something all our live – from stamps, through books, to coins. After some time, basing on years of experience and learning, our hobby turned into passion. Living in an EU country, we have a lot of opportunities to travel around Europe, visit museums and see collections focused on Asian art. Our own collection, built over the years, is mainly based on Buddhist sculpture from Tibet, China, Nepal and Mongolia. Buddhist art, created over two millennia across many countries (mainly India, China, Japan and other countries of Asia) takes different forms in various regions, but on core it was created mainly to guide followers of the Buddha into their religious practice. This art was made to inspire the Buddha’s devotees and remind them of his teachings.
For the past 15 years, in addition to sculpture, we have also been collecting Chinese porcelain – mainly from the period of the Republic, and, occasionally, we purchase rare items from the field of painting and calligraphy. We have been collecting Himalayan art for many, many years, enjoying a large and diverse collection.
Most of the objects in our collection were made during the Qing period (1644-1911), but we also have unique pieces and objects from earlier eras.
We invite you to get familiar with our collection. We will be happy to answer all your questions and proposals.
